pegs and me walked to work this morning. tried a new route (for me) per her suggestion: stanyan and frederick, till stanyan becomes 17th, which spit us out in the castro. wish i had the energy and will to do this everyday. feels productive, and on foot you discover little magical qualities about the city you’d never otherwise find.

as we were nearing our destinations we stopped at delessio’s to peep the sweets.

i have a new favorite treat – delessio’s milk chocolate “bubble wrap” with creamy crunchy peanut butter:

it’s been a long, long while since i’ve found the perfect chocolate/pb confection.

the peanut butter in this lil’ bad boy was so silky and smooth, with just the right amount of sugar (and you could actually taste the earthy nuttiness). it married so well with the quality chocolate. usually, when i’ve tried other variations, the PB’s too chalky and dry, or the chocolate too cheap and unfulfilling.

fine and divine. thank you delessio’s for reigniting my love for this classic combo.
