i went to an important retirement potluck party that showcased an almost infinite amount of eats. it was crazy! mind you that these photos reveal only a sliver of the total offerings. i love it when people go all out…

yum. homemade chili verde, rice, and awesome bean dip. you definitely don’t want to separate these three elements. they are fated to be fused together by the binding power of the cheese

the cheesy bean dip, kept melty and gooey in a crock pot. nothing but chili and shredded cheese

didn’t get a chance to try these. i think they were plantains

robust potato salad. looks like a midwestern dish, a family recipe

deviled eggs

there was so much food in one room that they had to have a dessert annex next door! it was a well-balanced presentation of homemade treats and store-bought goodies (sweet corn tamales, flan, etc)
